Above listed silo system was designed for a batch plant application and is presently on a 5000# Stansteel (200 TPH) plant. Roll out drag slat conveyor can travel by means of an electric winch mechanism, under the batch tower and convey hot mix to the silos. When silos are not needed, the conveyor can be moved back out of the way to allow truck traffic under the batch tower.

This system allows the plant operator to store 1 or 2 different mix designs in the silos, and if needed, produce other mix designs directly from the tower into customer’s trucks. Also, on days when only small amounts of mix are required, you can load trucks directly from the batch tower and not use the silos.

Silos are equipped with a weigh batcher that moves under the silos from one to the other. This weigh batcher weighs the hot mix for truck load out – saving the expense and installation of a truck scale; load out controls are included.
